All green in the red city.

The gardens of Majorelle are considered by now one of the monuments of Marrakech, and if not that, well at least it is one of the most famous gardens in all of the kingdom of Morocco. The gardens are located in the epicenter of the Red city, making them easily accessible. Moreover, the history of the gardens of Majorelle is quite interesting, as it was primarily designed by the famous French artist Jacques Majorelle, hence the name of course, but later on it had been restored by Yves Saint Laurent. Nonetheless, the gardens of Majorelle feature various fountains, pools, bamboo forests, cacti and a fabulous collection in private museum. With the addition of over 15 exclusive species of birds in North Africa can actually be found in the garden.
